Position Words — Prepositions
In, On, Under
Where is your pencil? Is it in the box? On the table? Under the chair? The small words "in," "on," and "under" tell us where things are. These position words (also called prepositions) help us describe the location of people, animals, and things.

Near, Behind, Beside, Between
