Some things happen again and again. The sun rises every morning. You go to school on weekdays. Your heart beats all day long. When we talk about things that happen every day, or that are always true, we use the Simple Present tense. It is the tense of routines, habits and facts.

The Simple Present tense is the verb form we use for things that happen again and again or are always true.
