The simple present tense is used to talk about things that happen regularly, habits, facts, and general truths. It is one of the most common tenses in English.
Subject-Verb Agreement in Simple Present
Subject-verb agreement means the verb must match the subject. If the subject is singular third person (he, she, it), the verb usually gets -s or -es. If the subject is I, you, we, they, the verb stays in base form.
