Punctuation
Full Stop, Question Mark, Exclamation Mark, and Introduction to Comma
When you finish speaking, you stop. When you ask a question, your voice goes up. When you are excited, your voice is strong. In writing, we show these changes using small marks called punctuation marks. Punctuation helps readers understand how to read and what kind of sentence they are seeing.
Student-Friendly Definition: Punctuation marks are small symbols used in writing to show where sentences end, when questions are asked, when strong feelings are shown, and where to pause.
