Pronouns
I, You, He, She, It
Imagine saying someone's name again and again: "Sam likes Sam's book. Sam reads Sam's book every day." That sounds funny! Instead, we use small words to replace names. Instead of "Sam" again, we say "he." These replacement words are called pronouns.

We and They
What do you say when you are talking about yourself and your friend together? You say "we." What do you say when you are talking about two or more other people? You say "they." These are plural pronouns — pronouns that mean more than one person or thing.
