Mass โ€” Grams & Kilograms

Mass tells how heavy something is. We measure it in grams (g) and kilograms (kg).
โ€ข A small thing (a chocolate) is measured in grams.
โ€ข A heavy thing (a school bag, a watermelon) is measured in kilograms.
โ€ข 1 kg = 1000 g

We weigh things on a balance or a weighing scale.

โ€ข A bottle or a bucket holds litres.
โ€ข 1 litre = 1000 ml
