Solving & Graphing Inequalities

Inequalities compare expressions using symbols instead of an equals sign.

Worked example

Problem: Solve: x + 5 > 12 and graph.

  1. x > 7.
  2. Open circle at 7, shade to the right.

Answer: Open circle at 7, shade to the right.
