NIGHT: it is dark, we sleep.

Problem: When do we eat lunch: morning, afternoon or night?
- Lunch is the mid-day meal.
- Mid-day is the afternoon.
Answer: afternoon
Reading Time to the Hour
A clock has 2 hands.
The SHORT hand shows the HOUR. The LONG hand shows the MINUTES.
When the long hand points at 12, we say o'clock.
Short hand at 3, long hand at 12: it is 3 o'clock!
Worked example
Problem: The short hand is at 8, the long hand is at 12. What time is it? (type the number)
- Long hand at 12 means o'clock.
- Short hand at 8 means 8 o'clock.
Answer: 8
